In April 2021, to address Covid19 vaccine disparity among the most marginalized black and brown population in South Los Angeles, Casitas developed a comprehensive vaccine outreach and education program using the combined principles of big organizing and electoral campaigning. Our program targets the unvaccinated who are the most hesitant, reluctant and untouched. 

 

Casitas was asked by the State of California and UCLA to use these same strategies and tactics to scale across Los Angeles County up to the Central Valley. Casitas is managing a $20 million Get Out The Vaccine campaign to help bring our state to Community Immunity and save lives. 

 

Casitas is managing 35 community based organizations to provide them with the resources and training to deploy teams of canvassers to talk to the unvaccinated and to get shots in arms.
